The goal was to create a fun, colorful, and inviting look to celebrate the vibrancy of Midtown Santa Cruz.
Coalition to End Human Trafficking
We collaborated with the Coalition on a much-needed logo update. We created an icon that spoke to the central coast of California with rolling hills and lush farmland while expanding on their original orange color scheme. We included a rising sun to reference themes of hope and a brighter future that the Coalition strives for.
Stella Nova
Hive developed a logo system for startup, Stella Nova Psychology, Inc., a growing team of clinicians and counselors dedicated to supporting the mental health of women and nonbinary professionals, so they can succeed and thrive at work and at home.
The name, typeface, and icon choices were inspired by founder, Maya Borgueta’s love of sci-fi and her belief that when we support each other, we all shine brighter.

7 Ravens Studio, dedicated to ecosystem conservation, creates scientific illustration on California’s Central Coast.
We used the silhouette of a raven, taken from one of the artist’s pieces, to create a recognizable mark that reflects their organic, hand-drawn aesthetic.

Something about this pitch wanted me to try a Mid-century modern-inspired look. We ended up with a fun illustration, a wordmark with lots of character and movement, and a fresh, clean color scheme.
